WhaT IS CRAXIS?
Craxis Studios is an indie film studio located in the Colorado Denver-Metro area. The goal of the studio is simple, to tell stories and to make people feel things. To the right(or below depending on your device) is the founder of the company, Sebastián Salinas. He believes that everyone should have a chance to follow their dreams. ‘Craxis’ /krak-sis/ itself means “The unease of knowing how quickly your life change.” That in of itself is something Sebastián hopes to do for others with the company. To change their lives. Craxis doesn’t have to be a bad feeling, artistically it can be very beautiful.
The team at Craxis want s for the studio to act as a hub for indie creators, while the main team at the studio may be based and shooting in the Denver-Metro area or even all over Colorado itself… filmmakers from all over the world can shoot and work on films that they can then submit to us and use our studio as an outlet to tell their stories and release their films in the hopes that it allows us to grow as one unified team that can then network into individual personas off recognition rather than everyone grow alone as we all try to stay afloat.
why start a film studio today?
Right now, Hollywood is on the cusp of innovation. They tried to turn people and their feelings into product. People don’t like that and are making it own, they’re tired off being given slop excuses of a film to satisfy their wants and needs. Hollywood can no longer just throw money at a film and expect it to bring more money back home. People yearn for creativity, for real stories, and that’s where indie artists can come into the frame. It’s allowing this space for new faces on the scene to have a chance to succeed. We’ve seen this with directors like Kane Pixels(The Backrooms 2026) and Curry Barker(Obsession 2026). Both of these being people who previously came from a platform like YouTube. These directors were doubted, being told nobody wants to watch a movie that some YouTuber made, but at their core, they’re people too. People with stories to tell and they have something that at Craxis, we don’t believe anyone too much of, and that’s ambition and drive. We mean come on even Mark Fischbach(Markiplier) made a film and tv show to try and prove this exact point. We are entering the age of dreamers, and dreamers should never back down.
